This little bit of adventure! (:

This little bit of adventure begins in a place full of diversities, unique characteristics, culture and style. It is a place that intrigued me to explore the unexplored. This place is none other than, Taiwan.

I was posted to a Junior High School in Zuoying, Kaohsiung. My main duty was to share my culture and experiences with the 7th graders of the school. Besides, I am tasked assist the school with their international exchange program with students and teachers from Indonesia and Korea. It was through these activities that I got to know and meet many other the teachers and students whom I now called – friends.

School was only a part of this adventure. I have had fantabulous host families (Yes, it does happen, I have more than 1 host family). They are so welcoming and include me in all their activities. One of my host families runs a church, Taiwan Presbyterian Church. With them, I attended service, made friends with many youths of similar age, met an aboriginal pastor from Seediq tribe, joined a Kindergarden activity, went for Christmas caroling, attended Christmas parties, meeting random strangers, visit places and tried a varied type of food. And, many of these are the “first time in my life” moments!

Not only that, AIESECers in NSYSU plans an event for all and that is where I made more friends! Going around and having fun! Thank you friends!

Through them, we managed to contact some AIESECers from NDHU, Hualien for our New Year break. And, YAY! We had an amazing countdown there! Thank you awesome AIESECers from NDHU!!! Hope to see you guys in Singapore!

Time flies and it was sad to say goodbye. Still, thank you all whom I have met, known, speak to! For the great hospitality! I enjoyed the time, it helped me explored the unexplored, Taiwan. This experience would never be the same if I was travelling instead of participating in this project. Hope y'all will have a great time, like I have mine.

Adios!
Diana, Singapore
